Cardiac Anaesthetist by background, Dr. Rajen has 25+ years of clinical practice experience at leading hospital groups in India including Fortis, Gangaram, National Heart Institute, Batra Hospital and St Stephens Hospital and 15+ years of experience leading Fortis Healthcare, Nova and International Oncology Services at executive positions.
Dr. Rajen is currently a Domain Leader – Healthcare delivery in the Healthcare practice at Praxis Global Alliance. He is credited to drive healthcare strategy, medical advisory and business growth in leading healthcare companies. At Praxis, he has been advising healthcare companies.
Dr. Rajen has held CEO positions at International Oncology Services Private Ltd. and International Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Prevention Services. At International Oncology Services Pvt. Ltd., he has introduced the concept of “shop in shop” model for high technology areas in medicine.
Dr. Rajen has held executive positions at Nova Healthcare Ltd. As Executive Director, he planned and deployed the concept of "day care surgery" first time in India. He also led the Medical Operations Group at Fortis where he worked on areas like overall business strategy, doctor model, healthcare technology, Hospital M&As, etc.
Dr. Rajen has deep advisory experience in healthcare technology during his stint at SS Innovations Pvt. Ltd. He has been Chairman & Head of the Department of Cardiac Anaesthesiology – Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Executive Director – Medical Strategy at Nova Medical Centers, and Chief Consultant for Cardio Thoracic Anaesthesiology in leading hospitals.
