The recent Economic Survey famously noted that the national capital was now India’s biggest startup hub. A business-friendly locale and the whole hurly-burly has helped Delhi quietly supersede Bengaluru. But there’s more to it than meets the eye: while Delhi, and even much smaller cities, are mushrooming in startup activity, funding remains heavily skewed towards Bengaluru and elite alumni founders, shows a Mint analysis.
